Biography:
Melissa George was born on August 6, 1976 in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. She studied tap, ballet and jazz as a child. She dropped out of high school to begin modeling, leading to her landing a role in the Australian soap opera “Home and Away” in 1988.
In 1996, she left Australia and moved to Los Angeles in search of bigger roles. She then secured various supporting roles in films such as Dark City, The Limey and Mulholland Drive.
She had leading roles in films, including The Amityville Horror, Turistas and 30 Days of Night. She went on to receive critical recognition for her performance in the 2009 film Triangle.
